A Bit of This and That

A friend of mine got me into Scott Pilgrim. When I discover something new, as you can see, I get inspired...

I bought a Japanese brush pen. You'll see more of these lines and ink washes in the future.

Drawing with a sore throat

My sore-throat issue is pretty annoying. But the inability to talk well makes things interesting, I must admit. When I can't talk to people as much, keeping to myself makes me draw more. Even when I become healthy again, it's fun to just not say much and draw instead. And when I don't want to talk, I'll usually ramble some notes in my drawings as well (as seen in the bottom drawing).

Classtime

Is it me, or is it during dull classes that the inspiration seems to overflow? I'm happy that more of my drawings are becoming more workable with color. But I'm not happy that school can prevent me from putting the time into doing more with these. It will happen. I promise you, viewer.

Scholarship Work and WIP

The first piece was one of five I submitted for the Society of Illustrators Scholarship Competition. The other drawing, I did during an LGBT show (I'll color it eventually). I have more drawing's I've done, but my goal is to fill up my sketchbook pages as much as possible. And there's still more to do...
